two thousand and eight.
I would like to write a blog about what is going on in my life, and what I am feeling right now, but the idea of pouring my less than appropriate thoughts out into the interweb sorta freaks me out.
Someone whom I met recently informed me that he googled me. He told me after he mentioned something that I knew I had not yet told him, and it struck me as sort of weird that he could know that after nothing more than a few emails back and forth. The fact is, not even Shaun (thats the boyfriend, mack) knows the URL of my blog, and some perfect stranger can just punch a few things into google and get the 411 on me.
Now, I’ve always been cautious with what I put out there, because I’ve always known that what I say about people could feasibly come back to me so anything I put into writing I’m prepared to face at a later date, but I didn’t think about what I was saying about myself. Blogging makes you vunerable. I’ve bumped my blogs around quite a bit in the last few years to avoid them being found. Yes, I use my first name, but (go google my first name, all that pops up is mychal thompson and st. mychal) that’s it. Anywho, all I’m sayin is… I’m freaked out.
Technology is a scary thing.
Thank god my good dirt goes into a paper journal =)

ha, this is why me and a lot of my blogger friends use LiveJournal to blog about the really brutal stuff (so certain family members can’t see it…my mother reads my GingerSnaps blog-yikes)…because at LJ, it’s so easy to customize friend groups and choose who can and cannot view your posts (but, of course, they have to have LiveJournal accounts). But anyway, I recommend taking advantage of that.
Yeah, I like livejournal and all, but it gets to be frustrating maintaining different blogs. I use liveournal occasionally to keep in touch (and read others blogs), and like today, make a quick friends only post, but too many people know about my livejournal because unfortunatley it is THE THING for college students to have, and of course people get offended if you dont friend them. Meh. Like I said, I keep a traditional journal for all my good dirt, and it has a great hiding place =)
Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation
Anyway … nice blog to visit.
cheers, Deniability.
Not all blogs have a point <3
